On December 25, 1936, Jiang Jieshi was sent back to the capital along with Zhang Xueliang who was immediately jailed. Some strikes soon occurred against Jiang's action.

Communists survived and kicked Jiang out, what has remained as an unsolved Taiwan issue. The success of Chinese Communism also inspired the rest of world. In Vietnam and Cuba, revolutionaries moved toward Communism. It united Communist nations around globe, and finally caused the Cold War of the Soviet Union and the United States.

It achieved an important role in the world history, and it also had impact on individuals. Jiang had had to stop his plan to destroy the rest of Communists and was forced to fight Japan. Yang Hucheng was killed secretly in 1949.

Generally, this was an important incident in the world history. Because of the incident, the Nationalist and Communist Parties united together to fight against Japan to defend China. China fought three quarters of the Japanese army during the World War II, and that resulted in Japan could not succeed in the Pacific War with the United States. In spite of twenty million Chinese deaths, China depend their rights as a nation. The biggest winner was the Communist Party, because they survived, and grew even stronger during the World War II, and finally took control of China.
